Joe Brooks Baseball Field

Joe Brooks Baseball Field is named in honor of the long-time coach of Illinois College baseball, Joe Brooks. Besides being the head coach for the baseball program during his time at IC, he was also the head coach for the football team from 1956-85. Joe Brooks Baseball Field recently underwent construction and hosted home games beginning with the 2016 season.

The Joe Brooks Baseball Field upgrades include a synthetic infield and wider warning track. Outside the lines of play, a new backstop was installed with netting hung to protect the surrounding streets and parking lots from foul balls. Both dugouts were replaced and modernized, and bullpens and a batting cage were added. Behind home plate is a multi-level press box with public restrooms available on ground level. New seating was added as well.

The outfield received new fencing along the perimeter and an updated scoreboard system. Rough-in lighting work was also done, allowing for the possibility of permanent lighting fixtures to be installed at the field in the future.
